As the end of primary school approaches, I find myself standing between two worlds: saying goodbye to the familiar halls of St James\u2019 Primary School in Daisy Hill and preparing to step into the exciting new journey that awaits me at Bolton School this September.
It is an emotional time for me because in a few weeks\u2019 time I will be saying goodbye to so many familiar faces. This is hard as I will miss all my friends and teachers, all of whom have helped me through the highs and lows of my primary school journey. However, I know many exciting opportunities will appear during my time at Bolton School.<\/p>\n
Memories That Matter<\/strong><\/p>\n I have been at St James\u2019 Primary School from Reception to Year 6, meaning that I have made lots of amazing memories such as going on residentials with my friends, school trips and altogether fun days. During Covid, my school was incredible because they had full lessons online instead of not having any or few lessons. I feel I really benefited from this as I got my Year 2 education instead of missing out on a year of school.<\/p>\n Looking Forward to Last Moments<\/strong><\/p>\n The most special events yet to come are going on my last school trip with my friends (to Blackpool Pleasure Beach), my class leavers party and our end of year production (Mystery at Magpie Manor<\/em>), which every Year 6 class takes part in before they leave. The final production is a St James\u2019 tradition and one that every Year 6 pupil looks forward to. There have many memorable performances over the last few years, and I am confident that this year will be no exception!<\/p>\n Excitement for the Future<\/strong><\/p>\n Although, I am naturally nervous about starting a new school, at Bolton School I\u2019m looking forward to making new friends, taking part in new clubs and doing lots of new subjects which I\u2019m sure are going to be interesting, challenging and great fun! I am also looking forward to participating in some Bolton School traditions such as Christmas Post, watching the Prefect Pantomime and enjoying the Easter Extravaganza.<\/p>\n Goals for Year 7<\/strong><\/p>\n My main goals for Year 7 are to represent my form in some way, such as being a form captain, or learning a new sport, such as water polo or netball.<\/p>\n A Fond Farewell, and a Bright Beginning<\/strong><\/p>\n Through my time at primary school I have changed, learned and grown with my friends whom I will surely miss.
