Bolton School captivated audiences with a breath-taking adaptation of The Lion, the Witch and the Wardrobe, transforming the Boys’ Division Great Hall into the magical land of Narnia. From Blitz-era London to the White Witch’s icy fortress, the impressive set design, lighting, and detailed costumes transported viewers into C.S. Lewis’ beloved tale.
The production featured standout performances, including Molly Grimshaw’s powerful portrayal of the White Witch and Thea Littlefair’s charming and creative take on Tumnus. Thea also contributed her artistic talents by crafting masks and props. The Pevensie children, brought to life by talented pupils, conveyed warmth and depth, while a team of puppeteers animated the majestic Aslan puppet, adding grandeur to the show.
With over 70 pupils from Years 8 to 13, the cast brought energy and nuance to each role, from mythical creatures to key characters. Collaboration with artists, staff, and families ensured the production was both polished and unforgettable.
